Paw Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients:
- 1 small carrot
- 1 small apple
- 1/4 cup of plain canned pumpkin
Instructions:
- Cut the apple into cubes, half of the width of the KONG opening.
- Grate the carrot.
- Mix the apple cubes, grated carrot, and pumpkin puree in a mixing bowl.
- Stuff into your KONG.
- Freeze for a longer lasting treat!
Apple Cheddar Pupcakes
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup of diced apple
- 1/2 cup of rolled oats
- 2 tbsp of honey
Instructions:
- Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
- Split mixture between KONGs.
- Freeze for a greater challenge.
Peanut Pumpkin Pupsicle
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup plain canned pumpkin
- 2 tbsp peanut butter (xylitol-free)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- A handful of dog treats or kibble
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin, peanut butter, and applesauce until you have a smooth mixture.
- Spoon a layer of the mixture into a KONG.
- Drop in a few dog treats or kibble, distributing them throughout.
- Add another layer of the pumpkin-peanut butter mix.
- Continue layering until the KONG is filled.
- Freeze the stuffed KONG for extended playtime!
While these treats are made with dog-friendly ingredients, they should be given in moderation as part of a balanced diet. Always consult with your veterinarian before introducing new foods to your dog’s diet, especially if your pup has any health concerns or dietary restrictions.
